"Wednesday Park-Schooling"
RavenStar's Wednesday Park-Schooling nature programs are designed specifically for elementary-age Home-schoolers! Join us this fall for Wednesday Park-Schooling adventures. Sept. 8th, Art in Nature - We'll be investigating the hidden beauty in nature to discover the lines, angles, symetries, colors and shape in the world we live in to create our own unique masterpiece. (This program meets at Torrey Park.) Oct. 13th Native Plants and Animals of the Blackland Prairie - Join RavenStar as we step back in time to learn about the plants and animals that historically called the Blackland Prairie Region home. We'll be investigating the pollinator garden at the Mesquite Creek Wildlife Habitat Area and hiking to the on-site pond. (This program meets at the Mesquite Creek Wildlife Habitat Area.) Nov. 10th - How do I count the ways? Join us as we discover the wilder side of math. Measure the height of an oak tree without ever leaving the ground, learn how scientists calculate the flow of the Comal Springs, study the geometry off Panther Canyon and much more. (This program meets in Landa Park # 7 & 7A)
